Sorted has exciting news… Lynne Johnson has been appointed as our new administrator. Welcome Lynne, we are very grateful for this opportunity to serve God together and ensure Sorted keeps upto date with it’s overflowing paperwork!!
Here are the details of how to buy Sorted’s New Book written by Andy Milne, our project leader. The book is available on line: https://scmpress.hymnsam.co.uk/books/9780334054092/dna-of-pioneer-ministry
Andy writes about the story of Sorted, the challenges and the rewards of pioneering a fresh expression of church in Bradford, Northern England. The book outlines the methods and ideas Sorted is using to reproduce fresh expressions of church.
‘My hope is that people are inspired and equipped to follow the nudge of God and step out in faith to start a fresh expression or new group that can be a blessing to others! Enjoy reading!!’
Many thanks to all those who have written forewords and endorsements for the book, here are two excerpts:
Forewords are written by Phil Potter (Archbishop’s Missioner and Team Leader of Fresh Expressions) and Mark Russell (CEO of Church Army).
Phil writes: ……’this is not just another pioneer story, but rather a book that is laced with principles of good practice….Andy is offering genuine pioneer an authentic experience, one that will be fashioned by the Holy Spirit and will eventually bear much fruit.’
Mark write ….. ‘My Church Army colleague, George Lings’ research into fresh expressions of church shows that if we want to reach the unchurched, and particularly unchurched young people, then it is projects like Sorted, pioneering fresh expressions, that are the best way to do so. I pray that as you read this amazing book you will be inspired not just to thank God for Sorted, but that you will be inspired to have a go yourself!….’
Carsten is a Danish pastor who is visiting Sorted to see how we do youth work and ministry; this is him telling us about his amazing journey with God and how God informs his life and work as a Christian. Carsten is looking Sorted’s model of church with the view of replicating it in Denmark along with his collegues for the young people in his part of the world. It is such an honour and a privilege to have Carsten who has been so much of a blessing to us as we hope we have been for him.
