I would like to take this opportunity in thanking you all for your incredible support over the last 12 months. It has simply been an amazing journey with lots of young people, and in particular, the youngsters who came away with us on our annual residential to the Yorkshire Dales. A mixture of ages came with us, ranging from 11 to 18.
Brilliant fun was had by all, including canoeing, caving, team activities, walking, outdoor visit to wildlife centre. the teaching this year was based on Lee Strobel book: The Case for Christ. We created a court, including judge, witnesses, bench, gravel and so on. the anticipation from the young people, who were the jury and had imput along the way, was brilliant.
my thanks goes to all involved to make this a huge success, not only from giving unchurched young people the chance to hear the evidence for Christ but also to those you who made the camp possible by your very generous donations.
At first during the worship, the young people seemed somewhat bemused and bordering on disruption…no new news there then, BUT a few days later, God showed up…BIG TIME…
and the aftermath, is we are now creating a small group for those touched by God this summer, who incidentally are demanding that we tell them more about God…so who are we not to oblige!!
We are, of course, in the throws of organising next years annual residential. Please pray for us as we seek funding to enable this to happen and if you are able to help more financially that would be great.
It is a privilege to serve the kingdom in this way and I thank you on behalf of the young people and Sorted. Together we can make a massive difference to otherwise distressing lives.
with blessings, Tracy Milne
