Every year, it is our intention to take a group of young people away from their usual circumstances. It’s a chance to breathe different air, giving them space from school and home pressures. A chance for new experiences and to learn from each other.

Sometimes we’ve been under canvas, other times at retreat centres. Always it has been a time of rapid growth in confidence and friendships for these inner-city young people, many of whom don’t usually get away in the Summer.

This is only possible thanks to the kindness of supporters who understand the impact this can have on a young person. In 2023, we took a group to Scargill House in the Dales thanks, in part, to a gift from the Rank Foundation.
